Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site. I am trying to sell a MATCO tool box filled with just about every snap on tool you can get. They all are almost new. It used to belong to a master mechanic. Since this is a snap on tools website I thought someone here could use it or know where I could go to sell it. I would appreciate any help. If anyone is interested let me know. I have pics and working on getting more with a description.

if you have a scan tool you can run the two most import and easy to do test in the world on a Ford. KOEO and KOER on a ford and 90% of the time it will close in on the area with the problem. Back in the day i made killer money on Fords because people did not understand the ide of those tests. If you have a KOEO code this would indicate what is broken before you even try to start it up! I run KOER both with a hot and cold engine and compare the results. When it is cold you should get some codes that will flag as a problem but really are not. Coolant temp is out of range and O2 not switching maybe, with it hot these should go away when you run the test again.
Good luck |

hi Dean
I manage the certification program here in the US. I have gotten some interest from Canada but nothing is formal at this point. DuWayne |

Hello, I would disconnect the MAF in closed loop and allow the system to use TPS for calculated air and see if drivability improves. Cleaning a MAF with Brake cleaner is not a good practice. What is the state of the battery cables and battery? Charging system? Is the coolant level correct? This platform should be an EECV system. You can use a dwell meter to check for codes! Follow the information on the “NET” to read codes via a dwell meter.

Thanks i appreciate the advice, the alternator had bad bearings so we did put a new one on and the problem actually stopped. It blew four fuses and we replaced them and it doesnt stall like it did at all, it is driveable now, but every once and a while it will stall and i have to put it into clear flood mode but then once it starts right back up it acts like it never happend.

I was hoping someone could help me with this. I am a licensed automotive technician, but I am looking to get some additional training. I heard there are Snap on sponsored training courses available here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I was told they have them at St. Clair College. I would like to know when, where, what, and the cost (hopefully free
). Or if someone could direct me where to search for these courses that would be great.Dean |

Try tapping on Mass air flow sensor, if it changes rpm it is bad. Also, you can try to clean the MAF with brake clean or the like, a little squirt will do you. But really you need to have a scan tool that displays data. Post the data here (warm engine at idle, and closed loop) as well as list any codes. With the parts you've installed you could have put the money toward a scan tool.
